Mass Cultural Council Finalist in Fiction/Creative Nonfiction

Justine Dymond was selected as a Finalist for a 2020 Mass Cultural Council (MCC) artist’s fellowship. As MCC describes on its website, “Mass Cultural Council’s Artist Fellowships recognize exceptional work by Massachusetts artists across a range of disciplines. These highly competitive awards provide artists crucial validation among their peers and the public. They catalyze artistic advancement and pave the way for creative innovation of enduring cultural value.” Dymond was selected for the $1,500 award on the strength of her 2017 lyric essay, “Brave of Worms,” which won 2nd Place in New South’s prose contest that same year.
